United Societies of Balkans (U.S.B.) is a non-profit, non-governmental organisation based in Thessaloniki, Greece working in the field of youth, human rights and intercultural dialogue. It was founded in 2008 by the inception of a group of active young people who wanted to address the social issues which affect the youngsters in the Balkans and Eastern Europe. The vision and aim of the organisation is the promotion of youth empowerment, participation in the economic and political life, youth mobility, voluntarism and human rights. In particular, USB attaches great importance to its human resources, as the evolution of the organization is directly related to the evolution of the individuals within.
Lidi Smart Solutions was founded to promote the latest trends in the digital era, offering web-education for adults and youth in a number of fields. Among our core activities were developing and implementing online education platforms and e-learning tools. From there, we grew to tackle the leading-edge technologies, striving to demystify them and increase their accessibility to various social and professional groups. Hence empowering larger communities with the opportunity to take on the demanding challenges of the 21st century. Our recent ventures include exploring the various uses for disruptive blockchain and AI technologies as well as a content synthesis for MOOCs, contributing to EU-funded projects.
The 24 economic and technical degree courses of the University of Applied Sciences Kufstein Tirol are international and offer a state-of-the-art higher education. The close collaboration with regional and global companies ensures a strong practical focus. All students gain valuable experience abroad – during a full semester at one of the 210 partner universities worldwide as a full-time bachelor student, or during an intensive week abroad as a part-time student. 500 lecturers support the 2,200 students from more than 50 nations personally and individually. The graduates of our degree programs thus have excellent prospects for filling challenging positions in their field and for advancing their careers.
L’Albero della Vita was founded in Italy in April 1997 as a Voluntary Association, followed a few months later, in January 1998, by the Social Cooperative up to the Foundation in 2004. Its eligibility as a Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) was issued by the Ministry for Foreign Affairs on 2009: since then, the project activities have been developed in all continents according to the principles and approaches of international cooperation. In each and every project, L’Albero della Vita aims at promoting a higher awareness of children and adults of reference with regards to the following aspects: their individuality, meant as knowledge of oneself, one’s deepest aspirations; as a discovery of one’s potential, constant search for improvement; their community life, meant as the ability of fostering positive and value-oriented relationships within the family, the school and the community; collectivity, meant as a social responsible and sustainable behavior and a stimulus to participation and social activism.
