USB organized a local conference titled “The Integration of Unaccompanied Minors: The Case of Greece” as part of the European project 4oneAnother, which is funded by the European Union. The conference included a presentation on the educational program developed by the project’s partnership to address the needs and enhance the knowledge and skills of professionals working in this field. Additionally, two professionals in the field delivered presentations, emphasizing the significance of integrating unaccompanied minors and engaging in a comprehensive discussion with local agencies against the backdrop of the situation in Greece.
Reception systems for Unaccompanied Asylum Seeking Children (UASC) vary considerably across the European Union, but what they have in common is the involvement of a wide range of actors in the process. While these settings offer a wealth of expertise, effective collaboration requires a certain level of organisation to build mutual knowledge and trust. The final conference of the 4OneAnother project took place on 27 June in Brussels and brought together stakeholders from different backgrounds to present the project results and exchange ideas and perspectives on interprofessional collaboration to improve the integration of these youth.
